[edit] Article renaming

As per the general consensus from the team at Wikiproject: Military History, it would seem that this article really ought to be named "7.63x25 Mauser", with no spaces. I thought I'd give people a chance to comment before arbitrarily changing the title, however. --Commander Zulu 07:03, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Other firearms in this caliber?

Was this round used (besides evolving into the 7.62x25 mm) in any other weapon besides the Astra and Borchardt? It would be interesting to compile a complete list. Twalls 01:44, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

The round is best known for its use in the Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" handgun, AFAIK. --Commander Zulu 08:46, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
So so far we have the Borchardt, C96 and its variants, and the Astra and its variants. I wonder if there were any other oddball pieces in Europe, Russia or China made to use this caliber.
Although they made the 7.62x25 a hotter round, I am curious if the Soviets intended the Tokarev TT33 to be able to use 7.63 Mauser ammo. I'm sure the Chinese didn't mind using old stocks of 7.63 Mauser ammo either in their Tokarevs. Twalls 16:41, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
