The links I provided were neither to commercial sites nor to private sites. Rather, I provided links where more information on the subject could be obtained. I am not certain how that violates the Wikipedia guidelines.
Please believe I hold Wikipedia in the highest esteem. I use this resource often.

- I do believe you, however, external links should be kept to a minimum, and should be included only if they meet the guidelines at WP:EL. Reviews of individual recordings should be at the article on the recording itself, where they are most specifically relevant. Tuf-Kat 02:21, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Well, I guess I'm confused, and I'll stop adding links for the present. Links to individual recordings would take a LONG time to add; I thought it would be a useful service to offer interested individuals a place where they can learn some of what music is being offered in the genre. There are, on some of the music pages to which I added a link, review sites and "special interest" links with a far narrower scope than I was trying to create. I'm sorry if that did not meet the guidelines.
- Tom
Addendum: I just browded the WP:EL guidelines, and it's my impression that my additions fit under What should be linked to: nos. 5 and 6; and Occasionally acceptable links: no. 1.

- Individual reviews might qualify under #5 or #6, in their appropriate articles. Since none of the pages you added the link to are about albums, books or movies, #1 doesn't apply. Tuf-Kat 02:39, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Please, please, please contribute content improvements like this rather than adding external links to a single site. Please note "links to normally avoid" point #3 and WP:SPAM#How_not_to_be_a_spammer. Thank you! --Craig Stuntz 03:37, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Not to have bad faith in your intentions or anything, but I reguarly WHOIS IP and potential spam links for info to link them together. I noticed that both your IP[1] and the domain name registration address of rambles.net are very close to eachother. Both are in Lancaster, PA and very close, physically, to eachother as show in the google map: [2]
Your IP is controlled by "Lancaster Newspapers, Inc.", which means its a newspaper buisness. The primary editor for rambles.net is a newpaper reporter named Tom Knapp[3], who's published in Lancaster Newspapers, Inc's newpaper. [4].
So I ask, are you Tom Knapp? Are you are friend of his? Are putting links to your own or your friend's reviews for movies/books into wikipedia? Things like these links just help to disrupt the encyclopediac content of wikipedia. Please consider just removing the links if this is true, as they are then links which you are biased for.
Notes: WHOIS on rambles.net must be entered manually: [5]
