Regarding your recent edits to Second War (Harry Potter): calling character by their full name is unnecessary. Things like "William Weasley," "Ginevra Weasley," "Bellatrix Black-Lestrange" or "Hermione Jane Granger" are superfluous, because everybody knows who you're talking about if you just say "Bill Weasley," "Ginny Weasley," "Bellatrix Lestrange" or "Hermione Granger." And naming "Thomas Marvolo Riddle" and "Professor Albus Percivial Wulfric Brian Dumbledore's Army" is simply factually incorrect – Voldemort's name is Tom Marvolo Riddle. Also, it seems like a waste of your editing time to capitalize the initial letters of "of the" in "Order of the Phoenix" and other similar names, as well as putting periods after OotP. Just some things to keep in mind as you edit. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 14:49, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Whoa. Everything I wrote in my post was simply to help you as an editor. It doesn't "kill people" to read a few extra words, but it will save you time. If they want to find out more about Hermione's name, they will click on the link provided, which will take you to a page that says "Hermione Jane Granger (born 19 September 1979) is a fictional character in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series." I didn't say that calling Dumbledore by his full name was factually incorrect, but calling the DA by "Professor Albus Percivial Wulfric Brian Dumbledore's Army" is not the canon name for it. And as for "The Battle of the Tower," I've emailed the Lexicon to ask them if that appears in canon anywhere, because I certainly don't recall it. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 01:21, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Hey, you'll see that on that battles page is also the sentence, "Although these larger battles have not been named in the books, we will refer to them with names to identify them in the Lexicon." So, there's your answer as to the names of the battles. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 16:25, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

By the way, I see nobody has welcome you yet, so:

[edit] Professor Petigrew?

Can you please provide a citation for Petigrew having taught at hogwarts? I have never read any such thing, so i would be interested. Also please avoid puttin capital letter angry notes in the main article, ti does not make them look good, there are talk pages for this. Thanks. Lgriot 20:24, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, sorry, I overreacted, and Pettigrew's been removed, it was he original plan for him to kidnap Moody, but please leave Mospus, Hobday, and Slyvanus, they were going to be teachers but didn't make it. But this doesn't mean that they never taught there or aren't real wizards, and one of them may teach DADA in the seventh book. 71.99.110.7 19:22, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Remus' Age Versus Nymphadora's Age

At the time that I asked that question there was actually not sufficent information avalible to "do the math". There is not actually any indication form the books that James and lilly were infact 21 when they died. There have apparently since been more information from JKRs website and intervies supporting a 10 March 1959 birth for Remus and a birth sometime in 1973 for Tonks which would actually make the age diffrence 14 years (or nearly 14 years if Tonks was born before march). A big but not especially unusual age diffrence in anyevent especially for people who live to be 150+, I was just curious though after "I too old for you" line in HBP.
