They claim not to be a vanity press, but if you look at the article on PublishAmerica you'll see that really it's only by technicalities that they dodge the "strict" definition. They essentially pay no royalty and do not reject manuscripts, and have a rather dodgy history overall, such as with their problems with the BBB mentioned in that article. Also take a look at Atlanta Nights. If you disagree with their description as a vanity press though, I'd advise you to bring it up at Talk:PublishAmerica. -Elmer Clark 02:50, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
