Hi - Can you explain why you have been deleting the history information in the Choose Your Own Adventure article? Steve 13:38, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Explanation
Hi Steve, I work for the current publisher of CYOA we're just a little concerned about this history information. Some of it is inaccurate and it's fairly sensitive information about the specifics of the publication. We'd really prefer to keep some of this sensitive info from public disclosure. Could we work out a modified version? Thanks, Melissa
- Personally, I don't see what's "sensitive" about publication history, but I am of course no expert in this area. Perhaps you could take it to the article's talk page, or correct the inaccuracies? In the meantime: Please do not remove content from Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Bakanov 16:55, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

- Hi - I agree with Bakanov - please correct any specifics that you feel are innacurate, or if you wish, you may even completely write a more accurate history section. But, please do not delete information for the sole purpose of "keeping it from public disclosure". I also like the idea of talking more at the talk page. Steve 17:37, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Second vandalism warning
You have deleted content from the Choose Your Own Adventure article four times. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Steve 20:17, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Response to phone call
Hi - I got a voice message from your employer. Here is some more info for you:
- Please do not delete sections of articles! There are people who scan Wikipedia for deletions such as this and restore the deletions. For example, Bakanov (see above) noticed that you deleted content, restored it, and warned you about vandalism.
- As I mentioned in my previous note, you are more than encouraged to please edit and improve any content that you consider innccaurate or false. Again, just deleting content is considered vandalism! Please simply edit the section and write a new history! I assume that you know the history of your company's books. I welcome any new/more accurate content.
- By the way, I had actually nothing to do with the creation of the "sensitive" history content itself. Another Wikipedia user wrote it, I (and others) just do not want Wikipedia content to be deleted.
- Finally, I just wanted to mention that I in fact have loved the Choose Your Own Adventure books since I was a kid, and I collect them. My love for the books is the main reason that it irritates me that people keep deleting the entire history of how the books came into existence.
Thanks. Steve 20:27, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
