[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. For general guidelines you may want to read:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Wikipedia Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- Please consider getting a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you. Since IP addresses constantly change and can be used by many diffrent users, its best to have your own user account so you can avoid being mistaken by somebody who has a bad record of vandalizing articles.
- When making an edit to an article, briefly describe your changes in the edit summary box.
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically insert your username and date on the talk page.
- If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, visit the new contributors' help page, or type {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will help you as soon as possible.
Thanks again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian.

[edit] Parade
Hello. You've thrice ([1] [2] [3]) replaced our article on Parade magazine with promotional material drawn at least in part from copyrighted text at parade.com. Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. You are, however, encouraged to add appropriate content to the encyclopedia. If you feel the material in question should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Tim Smith 02:39, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Trading Places. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
