Hi. If you want the statement about Connecticut to stay, please locate and cite a reliable reference for it. See Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:Citing sources and Wikipedia:No original research for why. It is considered vandalism to deliberately add misinformation to Wikipedia, citations would prevent your change from being qualified as such.

A good approach would be to identify exactly why Connecticut would be an exception (and, as above, back it up with an outside source).

Ok, i'll do that. However, I live here and common sense should show you that Boston is not around here and therefore cannot possibly be a cultural center and business hub here.

There's the problem, four different editors have expressed disagreement by taking out the statement. You could probably find a good citation that NYC or New Haven (weaker possibility) has more influence than Boston, but you will probably also run into som opposition about the difference between looking at Connecticut in isolation vs. New England as a region. A source (or sources) that can cover both bases would strengthen your position. --iMeowbot~Meow 16:49, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Even when looking at CT as New England(like it means anything to us), Boston STILL has no influence here and never will. They may have a little in the extreme eastern part of the state because that is the only major city they are next to. I hope that my links were good enough, but this is Wikipedia: where you can't really edit if you edit in the truth!

See, it is a gross generalization to say that just because Boston is in what some consider New England and so is CT, that means that Boston has the same power in CT that it has in MA, RI, ME and NH. That is flat out wrong. Boston is not on the radar in the most populous parts(south and west) of CT. This is like trying to claim that Philadelphia has influence over northern New Jersey just because it has in the south. In fact, it is not like that as Boston is no where near any part of CT. Live here for a week and you will understand.

To be a HUB, you must have a transportation system and a business system set up to enable people to get in and out of the city. That does not exsist between Boston and CT. Is does exsist between NYC and CT. I know it is hard for people in other parts of the country and in New Engand to uderstand this, but this is OUR CT reality, not THEIR New England ideal.

[edit] Heads up on wikipedia rules

Please read Wikipedia:Three-revert rule before continuing. Try to hash the differences out on Talk:New England to avoid the block nastiness, okay? --iMeowbot~Meow 18:00, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

See, I already provided what proof that I can find to show that Boston is no hub for CT. In fact, the only place on the net that says that Boston is a hub at all is on this site - without sources. No place on an official Boston site or document does it say that it is a hub. This Wikipedia is full of shit and a complete fraud. I will continue to change. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.182.30.200 (talkcontribs) .
No, you won't (continue to charge). You're already in violation of WP:3RR and you may well be temporarily blocked from editing by the site administrators. Please, there are ways to do this and ways not to do this; do it the right way: reach consensus on the Talk:New England page before edit warring with us.
