[edit] Daniel Amos

Names likely to be common, such as Daniel Amos, will probably end up as disambiguation pages. Clarifying that the article is about a band now, in the name, helps avoid having to do so later, and makes no substantial difference to the reader :)

But.. at this time there are no other "Daniel Amos" articles. Changing this affects a lot of existing articles.. would you like to go through and redirect every article that mentions the band Daniel Amos to this page?

Consider it done :) Adrian Lamo ·· 23:25, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
And please understand that this does help Wikipedia scale -- we already have a Daniel Amos (album) page, so disambiguation isn't such a bad idea. I did take your comments into account when renaming the page from what it was called when I got here, Daniel Amos Band to Daniel Amos (band). And I sure wouldn't have fixed all those redirects if I didn't feel it was a good idea :)

This argument makes no sense per norms. Beatles redirects no The Beatles, it dosen't disambiguate to show other uses. Note the arrangement of The Beatles to The Beatles (album) and The White Album to The White Album (disambiguation). This move does not help wikipedia either for overall organisation, or for scaling. Plus, a month later, the relinking isn't done. Dan, the CowMan 16:01, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
