[edit] Vandalism warning

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. DoomsDay349 05:44, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure what this is. I haven't vandalized anything. I think this is a mistake. 68.82.82.248 05:55, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Album and single covers

Please do not insert multiple album and single covers into the chronology boxes in articles. According to Wikipedia's fair use policy, album and single covers can only count as "fair use" if they are illustrating and accompanying text about that album/single; for example, the cover for Mariah Carey's The Remixes could not be used on the article for The Emancipation of Mimi, because the album isn't discussed in the Mimi article. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask on my talk page. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 21:38, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summary Request

I have noted that you edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 16:51, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jennifer Saunders

Will you please stop adding J&J to opening paragraph? The opening paragraph is meant to mention what she is widely known for, and she is not widely known for J&J (she may be in years time, but not at the moment). She is known for French & Saunders and AbFab. The fact that J&J is her current project or anything like that is immaterial. --Berks105 09:58, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. Saunders is not well known for Jam & Jerusalem, no more than she is well known for Let Them Eat Cake. In addition, do not remove photos for no reason, like you did from the French & Saunders page. The photo there was of good quality and well placed. --Berks105 14:47, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
I have now edited the opening line and this should satisfy both of us. But I say again, your reverts before did change other things. For instance the link to Let Them Eat Cake you removed, the proper reference (with link at bottom of page) you removed, you added the place of birth in opening line (against Manuel of Style) and you added back more general categories. Please in future check before reverting like you did. --Berks105 15:05, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Firstly, you tell me to use the Talk Page. I you used yours twice today and you did not reply either time. And I did not remove "a lot" of information, that is complete rubbish. I didn't remove any (unless you count moving her place of birth from first line to lower in the page). I tidied information to fit in with the Manuel of Style. When you did your reverts, you took reverted all of these (see above for list) and continued to do so each time. I have added back Let Them Eat Cake to opening paragraph as if you are going to insist of J&J being there, it should also be there. The fact that J&J is current is immaterial. --Berks105 18:55, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
No, the TALK for the actual page. Not just saying vandalism or tidying a thousand times. Let Them Eat Cake is NOT Jennifer's written and starring show. It lasted one series. Jam will last more than one, and is a creation of Jennifer's just as Ab Fab was. No it is not immaterial. That is your opinion, not fact. There was more than just I editing the page. I was simply reverting. Get your facts straight. 68.82.82.248 21:47, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
That happened because I reverted back to another person's previous version. Let's work together. 68.82.82.248 21:48, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism warning

Why do you keep on removing Madonna's AKA? Why can't visitors know about it? And I have an official source. She's also known as Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone Ritchie. Please don't touch! Israell 16:33, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Israell -- Wikipedia is not a fan site. An Objectiveness section has no place here. It does not exist under any other entry on the site. Period. If you have a problem with balance in the Criticism section, then rewrite that section to reflect the balance. But recognize that we're talking balance -- not cheerleading. --Mhking 03:29, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

You see, I was ALLOWED to BALANCE the Criticism section. I ONLY mentioned her LDLHA cover and a few lines she wrote. NO personal opinions at all. I respected all the guidelines.

One more thing, I just balanced the Criticism section and as I said earlier, other artists' articles such as Mariah and Janet don't have a Criticism section. Madonna's Criticism section is nothing but bashing her as it was made by anti-Madonna fans. Also, the article is getting too long -it got a lenght warning- and it's a waste of space because everything in that section was ALREADY addressed elsewhere in the article. Other parts of the article do mention the Sex/Erotica scandal, the Like A Prayer scandal, the David Ritchie contoversy, people doubting her talent because of controversy surrounding her etc. A Criticism section was honestly NOT necessary. Since it was so negative, I balanced it. There might need to be a vote on that whole section.

[edit] Janet Jackson

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Janet Jackson. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.

User 68.82.82.248 edited Janet Jackson twice and got a warning by User Admc2006.

Vandalism links: ([1]) ([2])

(Unconnected third party) I examined both links. Nothing in these diffs seems to suggest vandalism. They do not seem to be nonsense. This appears to be a content dispute. If there is an underlying history making this vandalism, you should probably explain it in detail. Notinasnaid 12:37, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Madonna

User GTBacchus made the final edit.

However, some critics do see Madonna as a talented vocalist and songwriter[1][2]. Madonna also received good reviews for her "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," cover[3] on which her performance was described as a "heartfelt vocal"[4]. Her vocals on Live To Tell were considered her best at the time by some, and the song's lyrics have been described as "poignant"[5]: "A man call tell a thousand lies. I've learned my lesson well. Hope I live to tell the secret I have learned. 'Til then it will burn inside of me."[6]

Please don't touch it now!

[edit] Janet Jackson

Stop adding your personal beliefs to Janet Jackson. There is no reason why you shold be merging Damita Jo and 20 Y.O. and calling them "failures". They are two separate sections and they should stay that way. If you keep up with this nonsense, I will have you reported. Admc2006 19:11, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me, I wrote those sections and titled them before you ever came on board. Damita Jo was her lowest selling before 20 YO which sold less than Dreamstreet and Janet is now leaving Virgin Records because of this. If you keep up, I'll report you. You are nobody. You keep reverting broken links. Take a hike!
First of all, she is NOT leaving Virgin Records, Jermaine Duri is leaving as president of the record company. Second of all, 20 Y.O. sold more than Dream Street and unlike Dream Street, it was certified platinum by the RIAA. Dream Street did not even receive a certificate. Third of all, 20 Y.O. fulfilled her contract with the company. A platinum album hardly constitutes as a failure. Try checking your facts before making any more edits to Janet Jackson (or any page for that matter). Admc2006 02:10, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
No my dear, she IS leaving Virgin. That was already officially announced. She is not resigning. 3 million copies for an artist like Janet is a commercial flop. Janet has already stated that. 20 YO has sold 600,000 copies worldwide, not even platinum. Both albums failed to have any hit singles, EXCEPT one, Call on Me. We are in contact with her choreographer and collaborator Gil daily. He also has already confirmed this. Janet is not being promoted by Virgin, they will not foot the bill for her With U music video. The album is over. 20 YO has NOT been certified platinum. Again, it has sold 600,000 copies. That is confirmed. Check your facts dear. I have the complete info with the officials close to her as well. Damita Jo had no hit singles, 20 YO had one. That is a commercial disappointment.

[edit] Image:104862.jpg

Please stop removing the "replaceable fair use tag" from Image:104862.jpg. If you dispute that it is replaceable, go ahead and add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} to the image page (and your reasoning to the talk page), but the original tag needs to stay until an admin makes a decision. —Chowbok 20:16, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Confessions Tour. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link.
