I have removed the clean-up tag at music of the United States. I can confirm with print resources that salsa as the term is generally used was invented in 70s New York. The same word is often used generically to refer to any kind of Cuban pop, especially 50s fads like mambo and chachacha, so a source that tells you salsa is Cuban is probably referring to one of these. [edit] Nashville, Tennessee
Hi 68.53.62.150! Thanks for the contributions to the Nashville article. Unfortunately, due the frequent incidents of people trying to promote their own companies, we've had to limit the list of "important" companies to some specific criteria. In this case, at least $1B in annual revenue. I admit this criteria is rather arbuitrary, but it at least gives us a definite measuring stick to use. If you have suggestions for changing how the list is compiled, I would definitely welcome any input (as I don't think the way we do it currently is ideal). Just stop by the Nashville discussion page if you have any input. In the meantime, I'm going to have to revert your additions to keep the list consistent. Sorry! Hope this won't discourage you from contributing to the article further. Cheers. Kaldari 05:52, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
