[edit] Phish reversions

Please contribute to a dialogue on what deletions you object to, rather than revertign back to previous version. Please also realize that the page is a work in progress, and willl always change. If you are wedded to a certain paragraph or piece of info, mention it on the Phish talk page, and try to buiild a consensus. You will be much more successful that way than changing things back 5-15 edits of which other editors are attempting to make positive change. Thanks. BabuBhatt 01:33, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Hello. This message is regarding the page Phish. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Otherwise, people might consider your edits to be vandalism. Thank you. . It seems your unwillingness to talk about your perceived problems with today's Phish changes have moved you into the realm of vandalism. BabuBhatt 02:35, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Phish, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. BabuBhatt 02:40, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Phish, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. BabuBhatt 02:47, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't think it's necessary to characterize these edits as Wikipedia:Vandalism. It seems more to me as if this is a user who doesn't know about the 3RR and how we use talk pages to resolve edit disputes here. Let's go ahead and assume good faith, that (s)he's really trying to improve the article. -GTBacchus(talk) 03:02, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Short block

Hello, 68.112.25.197. I have blocked you from editing for 3 hours for repeatedly reverting the Phish article to a previous version. We have a rule here, the three-revert rule, to prevent edit wars like that. If you think the page content needs to change, and others disagree, then you need to go to the article's talk page: Talk:Phish and discuss the changes you see as necessary. If you indicate a willingness to do that, I'll lift your block, but continued edit warring will get you blocked for longer periods of time, so please be careful. -GTBacchus(talk) 02:58, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please comment your edits

In future would you mind commenting edits, as it makes it easier for people to see your contributions (this is in regard to your edit upon Maiden Japan). Thanks DannyM 17:08, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KISS

KISS solo albums are KISS albums, that's why they put the big KISS logo on them. --cholmes75 13:34, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I know the background of the albums, and why they were made. Nonetheless, the official KISS site lists them as KISS albums. Before making wholesale changes like this, please bring it up on the appropriate article talk pages. --cholmes75 15:55, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
  • I have removed the changes you made to the appropriate pages. If you would like to bring the issue up on the article talk pages I would be more than happy to discuss. Please note that altering the articles further may be a violation of the Three-revert rule. --cholmes75 16:57, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages or sections with blank content. It is considered vandalism. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. [edit] Blanking user pages

Please do not blank another user's User page, like you did to User:Sampi, and replace it with rude commentary. This is often considered vandalism. Furthur actions like this could get you blocked from editing on wikipedia. Kevin Breitenstein 05:13, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Personal attacks to Moeron

This message is regarding your attacks to Moeron. Please do not make personal attacks on other people. Wikipedia has a policy against personal attacks. In some cases, users who engage in personal attacks may be blocked from editing by admins or banned by the arbitration committee. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Please resolve disputes appropriately. Thank you. --– sampi (talkcontribemail) 05:13, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR

[edit] Wishbone Ash

Dude, your revert of my discography changes isn't explained. If you think it's self-explanatory - you better think again. I don't think there is something wrong to have the discography better structured in a gallery. I hold to my opinion. And I think that meaningless reverts are very, very annoying. Just because you don't like it that way, doesn't mean that it should be your way. Please have more tolerance. It's a collaborative project after all and I think all who want to contribute the best way are free to do it.

Regards Painbearer 14:52, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Spare me the advice. I wouldn't define my kindly question at you as chuffing. What I value the most is the straight-to-point-ness in human's conversation and the ability to be as brief and meaningful as possible. And about what you did and what I did not, playing elitist is something that I despise the most among people's flaws. Like it or not, we are all here for the work for the betterment of these articles. Excuse me if is that is the case, but I regard the problem as present not in the article, but in the Mozilla browsing community. If Mozilla is a flawed and uncomprehensive browser I don't think that the problem is in my article. Mozilla users should rechange their browser or find a better way of viewing this change. Because I wouldn't change my personal policy towards the articles for their embetterment, just because people are having problems with browser. My goal is to make better, extensive and comprehensive edits and I just can't think of everymen's need. These technical problems should be adressed by Mozilla users to their own browsing tools and browsing community. Wikipedia serves IE, Opera, Avant and Netcape among browser and I just cannot imagine what will happen if one particular group is having problems.

It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Mike Gordon. [edit] Your edit on User:Hagerman

Please stop targeting one or more user's pages or talk pages for abuse or insults, unwarranted doctoring or blanking. It can be seen as vandalism and may get you blocked from editing Wikipedia. --physicq210 01:14, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. As a member of the Wikipedia community, I would like to remind you of Wikipedia's neutral-point-of-view policy for editors, which you appear to have violated at Muhammad. Also, bootlegs, outtakes and unreleased songs that were neither released commercially and also never played live generally don't count towards lists of songs. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 04:04, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] =====

They are still original Phish songs, and they were circulated all over Phish bootleg culture in 1996 (Billy Breathes sessions), 1998 (Ghost sessions) and 2002 (Round Room sessions). Trey Anastasio has performed Somantin on his solo tour, and Rebirth was performed sans lyrics in 1999. Weelky Time was also performed by Mike solo. These are real compositions written, arranged and recorded by Phish......and circulated by fans. No need at all to erase them.

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Heaven and Hell (band). The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. --1568 06:08, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mother Vinegar

[edit] AfD Nomination: Mother Vinegar

I've nominated the article Mother Vinegar for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Mother Vinegar satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mother Vinegar. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Mother Vinegar during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. StoptheDatabaseState 23:32, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2006 December 28. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 05:54, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

Please do not add Image:FishLights.jpg or Image:FFN.jpg into pages until their status is resolved. Thank you! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 22:21, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Again, please do not add images back in until status is resolved. As for www.phish.com, the site explicitly says "No material from www.phish.com ... will be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted ... used for any other purpose without Phish's express written permission" ... if you have such a source, let an admin on Wikipedia know. Thanks! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 01:39, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigating edit wars. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 01:45, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
