That's the third time you erase information from the List of Las Vegans article. If you do it again, I will block you from editing. This is vandalism and it will not be tolerated. You are warned. Redux 23:55, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

In Response: David Keuning, who was originally from Pella, Iowa but moved to Las Vegas in January of 2000

This is from wikipedia itself. This post is in response to being told be another user that I would be banned for deleting the killers from the notable residents section of the vegas page. It's not vandalism to delete inaccurate posts. Posting all the killers names as native is wrong. They are not native. A native of las vegas was born in las vegas. Let me phrase it another way so that it might be clearer. If someone was...say born in, I don’t know.....Pella, Iowa, and then moved to las vegas 5 years ago I would say that they are not a native of las vegas. Perhaps on other planets or in other dimensions where people are able to exist in two places at once and therefore give birth to David Keuing in Pella, Iowa and Las Vegas simultaneously then he could be a native. But he's not. If you want to change the post you're welcome to. I shouldn't be banned for deleting innacurate information. I didn't even know that was possible but fine.Vegasjon

On the contrary, your input is more than welcome. The problem was the information was being deleted anonymously without any explanation as to why. In fact, I've just reverted another change in the article, which removed the whole band but Flowers, exactly because our own article on the band contains no indication that only one member of the band was a native of the city (or did I overlook it?). Anonymous removal of information without a single word as to why can be easily mistaken for vandalism, so please remember to provide edit summaries for your edits and, if necessary, use the talk page to explain your actions. This avoids misunderstandings and actually saves us time and work. In cases like this, it seems that our very article on the band might need some improvement, and it is always positive to provide links to sources that can back up your claims (internal if the information can be found on Wikipedia; external if it's on another website - such as a biography for instance). In this particular case, you can provide the evidence when editing the article (cite the source in the edit summary), and the appropriate move would appear to be: leave Flowers in the "Natives" section and move the others to the "Non-natives" section (in lieu of erasing them altoghether).
