[edit] Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!

Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian.

[edit] Re: Aluminum

Your recent edits to the aluminium page (and related pages) including the page redirects have been reverted. The IUPAC accepted spelling is aluminium. This is the spelling used in Wikipedia articles per long-term consensus. If you persist in your current edit war over this you will be blocked from editing. Vsmith 02:21, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Also, please be warned and read WP:3RR. Your repeated reverts will, if they aren't already, be in violation of the three revert rule. Vsmith 02:29, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

I have replied to your message on my talk page here. Vsmith 02:47, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
If you change the content of my warning message to you again, I can and will block you for that also. Vsmith 02:51, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for spelling vandalism and ignoring warnings. After the block expires, feel free to return and edit responsibly in consideration of community guidelines. Vsmith 03:45, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
