650 California Street

650 California Street is a 142 m, (466 feet) office tower located on San Francisco's northwestern edge of the Financial District. The tower is located on California Street not far from 555 California Street. When this tower was completed in 1964, it was only the second completed building in San Francisco to be larger than 37,000 square meters or 400,000 square feet. It also became California's tallest building, replacing both the Russ Building in San Francisco and the Los Angeles City Hall in Los Angeles, California. Later, however, newer skyscrapers in both San Francisco and Los Angeles took the title of California's tallest from this building. 650 California quite visible from any direction except from the southwest, where the Financial District skyscrapers block the view.
