Hi! I have a couple of questions for you. I've been looking over your edits, and you seem to take issue with two things: the use of the term "post-hardcore" as a subgenre of hardcore, and attempts to differentiate (and distance) hardcore from from metalcore. I'm not arguing with you, I'm just curious about your thoughts/opinions on the matter since you've shown a lot of interest in hardcore. I know there's some controversy over the label "post-hardcore," so I was also wondering whether your issue was with the use of the term in general, or you just objected the use of the term to describe the specific artists from whose pages you removed it. [edit] Reply to Hardcore

I'll make it clear that I do not have a problem with the label "Post- Hardcore". What I'm trying to point out in my edits is that bands like Underoath, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, He Is Legend, Norma Jean and other bands like them should be categorized under the label Hardcore as well as Metalcore since they are also known as Hardcore today in this society. Saying that Underoath is a Post-Hardcore band just seems like a bit of under statement especially since they also fit under the category of Metalcore which is the same as Hardcore. Most of their music is Metalcore. Old Underoath fits under Grindcore and Metalcore/ Hardcore. New Underoath fits under Post-Hardcore, but mostly Hardcore and Metalcore. They only had one album resembling mainly Screamo and Post-Hardcore, but that album what based off of Christianity and faith. Screamo is based off of emo. I don't think Christian Rock can be considered something emo. Because They're Only Chasing Safety sounded similiar to Screamo music it attracted an emo fan base, but I think that is the only real connection between Underoath and emo. Also I'm trying to make it clear that there are two Hardcores now: Metal- Based and Punk- Based. Because to some people it may not be clear that most Hardcore of today is just another name for Metalcore. I just think this needs to be addressed a little more often on Wikipedia or stated on the Metalcore page or that the page should be called Metalcore (Hardcore) or (also known as "Hardcore"). But again, I do not have a problem with the label "Post- Hardcore" I just believe that when faced with a Metalcore/ Hardcore band it should be stated that they should be labeled under Hardcore not Post- Hardcore unless it is a band that has no Metalcore aspects at all like bands like Mewithoutyou or The Receiving End Of Sirens.
