[edit] Regarding reversions[1] made on October 21, 2006 to Olathe, Kansas

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning, but aviod making any reverts within 24 hours of this warning in order to avoid any confusion. Although it is not technically within the letter of the three-revert rule, you may be blocked if you continue to undo other people's edits without any discussion or consensus-building. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:03, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Now you are within the letter of the 3RR. Please stop reverting Olathe, Kansas (are you this Matt guy or is he just a friend of yours?). Another revert within a 24 hour period will get you blocked. (ESkog)(Talk) 21:12, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notable residents

Check out our notability guideline - notability is far from a "matter of opinion" as you suggest, but a well-established term with meaning here on Wikipedia. It is not notable that a person who works for a local media outlet lives in the local area. We don't list Gary Lezak, Katie Horner, Larry Moore, Kevin Kietzman, or other similar local personalities as "notable" residents because they aren't notable. Matt Scott is, at best, a peer of theirs, and in my opinion probably less notable than those above. How many people in Olathe know who Matt is, compared to those other four above? Besides, you really shouldn't be making edits on behalf of your friend; check out our guidelines about autobiography and/or neutral point of view, both of which are tangentially related to this situation.
