[edit] Dr. Robotnik
The policy on Wikipedia is to use the official ENGLISH names of characters, which in this case is "Robotnik", NOT "Eggman". So please stop reverting it before you break the 3RR rule. TJ Spyke 01:57, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Funny how Sonic and co. in the ENGLISH games call him Eggman and not Robotnik now, huh? Not using the CANON name for a series is also against the rules, by the way.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 63.227.13.149 (talk • contribs).
- They call him Eggman since that is his nickname, just like Nintendo just calls Bower Koopa "Bowser". Check Sega's English website for Sonic (sega.com/sonic) and you will see they call him ROBOTNIK. TJ Spyke 02:10, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
It used the be Robotnik, yes, but NOW it's Eggman, both in the Japanese AND English game. And the fact that the next-gen trailer at e3 (which, in case you don't know, is at America) clearly stated the words "DR. EGGMAN's plans" also proves that his official name is Eggman.
