Thank you for your contributions to transsexualism. Some of your contributions have been highly constructive and I do not mean to discourage you from continuing to edit this article.

However, some of your edits to this article have been less than spectacular and I would like to give you a few hints.

  • Consensus on Wikipedia is that transsexual people should be referred to as "transsexual people", not as "transsexuals".
  • You should always write articles from a Neutral Point of View. If you have not familiarized yourself with this policy, I strongly recommend that you do so, and that you follow it. Some of your edits to the article on transsexualism have not been completely neutral. For one thing, you should almost never use words like "fortunately" and "unfortunately" in Wikipedia articles.
  • For information to be included in Wikipedia, it needs to be encyclopedic. See Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. In my opinion, the phrase "if you weren't a transsexual before surgery, than you will be after" is not very encyclopedic.

Hi again! I know many people in and around the transsexual community who prefer the term "transgender." I refer to myself as a transsexual person and a transgender person almost interchangeably. However, because "transgender" is an umbrella term and the article on Transsexualism focuses on only one segment of the TG spectrum, I think the article is appropriately named and I have tried very hard to establish consensus on the issue.

If you would like to continue making constructive edits to the article, please do so! Another point that I did not mention in my last post is citing sources. Content on Wikipedia must be verifiable, and citing sources is the only way to ensure it is such. Citing sources also allows readers of Wikipedia articles to do further reading on a topic if they wish to do so.

Thanks for adding some information about Lauri Heino to the article about the T-34 tank. I've since started a stub article about him.

I've nominated the T-34 article for Featured Article status, and that requires all the more obscure facts to be sourced. Can you supply any reference sources for Heino being the first to capture the tank, and for the Finnish name sotka for the tank? English-language books or web sites would be best, but Finnish-language sources are acceptable too (a quick Google search ).

[edit] Witch hunts in Finland as late as 1776?

Hi. In 31 July aside of your otherwise reasonable, if not entirely accurate edit to Witch-hunt you added a claim that "The last person accused from witchcraft in Finland was a man named Antti Lieroinen, who was executed from witchcraft-related murder in 1776." which is patent nonsense, as he was actually executed in 1643 and certainly wasn't the last one either accused or executed. The last executions appear to have taken place in 1690s, after which there still were a lot of accusations for witchcraft but they didn't lead anywhere. I've been editing the Finnish weights and measures page you started to match the other such pages on historic units, but the page appears to lack cites.
