Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy: There is no excuse for personal attacks on other contributors. Do not make them. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that you may be blocked for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thanks, --Alf melmac 11:12, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. [edit] This is a (massively) shared IP
Dear All,
This is a shared IP of a rather large and well known company. I am posting for several reasons.
- I wanted to point out that this IP is shared among hundreds, if not thousands (I'm unsure just how many people use this particular gateway) of people, and so the contributions vs. vandalisms ratio should probably be taken into consideration.
- I wanted to somewhat shame the people who are vandalizing Wikipedia, first and foremost because it is rude and even cowardly, but also because they should not risk adversely affecting their employer's image.
Also:
- This post is anonymous because I do not want to be identified. If my name were to appear, I might face disciplinary measures (even though I havn't vandalized, I should probably be working instead of surfing :) ).
- In the event that this IP is banned, I have a proxy set up for such an occasion and will still be able to contribute, but I would rather see some positive change than to have to resort to such measures.
Kind regards,
Anonymous :)

Hello, 62.189.96.213, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that recently there have been potentially unwanted edits made using this IP or account on the Eelam page. Therefore, for the time being, your edits will be monitored closely to make sure that they are in accord with our policies and guidelines, and reverted if necessary. I just thought I should let you know. (|-- UlTiMuS ( U • T • C | M • E ) 13:08, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral point of view policy will not be tolerated.
