Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy: There is no excuse for personal attacks on other contributors. Do not make them. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that you may be blocked for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. [edit] This is a (massively) shared IP

Dear All,

This is a shared IP of a rather large and well known company. I am posting for several reasons.

  • I wanted to point out that this IP is shared among hundreds, if not thousands (I'm unsure just how many people use this particular gateway) of people, and so the contributions vs. vandalisms ratio should probably be taken into consideration.
  • I wanted to somewhat shame the people who are vandalizing Wikipedia, first and foremost because it is rude and even cowardly, but also because they should not risk adversely affecting their employer's image.

Also:

  • This post is anonymous because I do not want to be identified. If my name were to appear, I might face disciplinary measures (even though I havn't vandalized, I should probably be working instead of surfing :) ).
  • In the event that this IP is banned, I have a proxy set up for such an occasion and will still be able to contribute, but I would rather see some positive change than to have to resort to such measures.

Kind regards,

Anonymous :)
