Based on Template:Infobox Country, adjusted to suit now-extinct states.

Main differences:

  1. Unnecessary modern fields have been removed
  2. Many fields are hidden, since not all information is available
  3. Multiple entries for population, if values from different time periods are known
  4. Similarly, multiple entries for area are possible, but this has been disabled for the moment

Major addition: A start_date-end_date row near the top. It is possible to use this as a section to jump to previous and successive states, if known. To implement this, see the entry on the German Empire
