At the same time, the phrase "50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong" is commonly used as a sarcastic jab at Elvis sighting believers, and is used as a more general phrase to mock conspiracy theorists in general. It can also be used as a more snobby phrase of disdain for Americana and popular culture in general.
