Do you want a bar like this in your user page? |
Every archive is made when 10 messages are left on my talk page. Sometimes I will, if the archive is too small, I will merge what would be another archive with the latest one. |
Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Chakra (Avatar: The Last Airbender). Your edits could be considered vandalism, and have been reverted. [edit] Help me call
Every time I go to see a past version of one of my supbages is shows "This archived version of...". What do they mean by archived and is that a good thing or bad thing. What can I do. Please help.
- Whenever I view an old version of a page it says that as well. I think a change has been made to the software, or to a template, to cause that to appear rather than whatever it used to say. I think it's just another way of saying that you're not viewing the current version. --Jon186 20:27, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Archiving as referred to on the current versions of talk pages is something else, I think it's just a way of moving old messages elsewhere to clear the page when it is getting large, there is info about it at Wikipedia:How_to_archive_a_talk_page.
-
- I don't think you need be concerned at all, in your case I think it's just telling you that you are viewing a past version. It's a warning to stop you from inadvertently saving a past version (which would result in more recent changes being reverted). --Jon186 20:37, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion
The only people who can delete pages are admins. The wikipedians by status page provides a list. Leave a note on my talk page if you need any help. Thanks. --Nenyedi TalkDeeds@ 18:23, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Only administrators can delete pages, but if you place {{db-userreq}} on the relevant page, it will attract the attention of an administrator who should delete the page for you. (The db-userreq template is used to request the deletion of pages in your own userspace.) Hope that helps! --ais523 18:24, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
