The 40th Infantry Brigade Combat Team is a combat brigade of the United States Army made up of soldiers from the California Army National Guard. The brigade is as of February 2007 stateside, however, individual members are in Iraq filling in critical positions in other active duty units or are tasked for border security missions in southern California.
