[edit] Trivia
- His name actually does not originate from the .40 caliber pistol. Rather, in an interview with SOHH NYC, 40 tells that his name reps his block, [1]40th and Lennox Ave. (or the "Danger Zone" of Harlem), hence 40 Cal. 40 quotes: "Yeah that’s the block and I told them, I need the block in the background when I drop this. Nahmean. That’s how I got my name, 40 Cal. Calvin from 40th."
Although 40 Cal. refers to 140th and Lennox Ave. as the "Danger Zone," rapper, Big L has several songs that refer to 139 and Lennox Ave. as the "Danger Zone" rather than 140th.
- The album Broken Safety includes a diss track aimed at Sam Scarfo called "Sam Scared".
-Broken Safety is estimated to have sold 50,000+ copies
