3CG Records

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

3CG Records is an independent record label started by the pop/rock group Hanson. After huge success with Mercury Records, they were transferred to Island Def Jam due to music industry merger of PolyGram and Universal in 1998. With misunderstandings arising over their third release, the band created their own label.

Once free from Island Def Jam, the band had control over their music. Hanson put together their third major album, Underneath, released April 20, 2004 on 3CG Records. The album went to #1 on the Billboard independent charts in April of 2004.
