[edit] History

The 3 Local Boyz was a short lived local Hawaiian radio disc jockey group of I-94 (KIKI (FM)) radio station in the late 1980s to the 1990s known by their nicknames "Jimmy Da Geek" (James Bender),[1][2] Lanai Boyee (Grant Tabura),[3][4] and Alan "da Cruzah" Oda with Matt Young as record producer and recorder.[5][6] "Hawaiian Ryan" (Ryan Matsumoto),[7][8] featured on their album, attended Kaiser High School where he met both Lanai Boyee and Jimmy Da Geek then joined the radio station, KIKI (FM) (I-94), where there he said he became a part of the 3 Local Boyz.[9] They have produced parody songs on their album "Rasta Revolution" that can be described as being fobbish.

The "3 Local Boys" then became the 2 Local Boys — Lanai Boyee one of the original members and Augie T. (or Augie Tulba) a comedian — who released their album "Home in da Housing" comedy CD and ran the weekend at I-94.[6][10][11]

All individuals have moved on. Jimmy Da Geek has went on to radio for KCCN-FM then KQMQ-FM and has produced several albums, then moved to Arizona.[1] Alan "da Cruzah" Oda later became an radio executive, went to California and Arizona, then retired radio, then took home to Hilo.[12] Hawaiian Ryan too released his own album and did Christian rock and pursued comedy and did radio for KPHW and was later seen at WRDW-FM in Philadelphia.[13][8] Lanai went on to radio for KDNN.[14]
