The United States Air Force's 398th Air Expeditionary Group is an air expeditionary unit with rescue assets located at Dakar, Senegal. The wing participated in U.S. operations in Liberia during 2003.

The 398th Air Expeditionary Group has no modern (post-1947) successor organizations (wing or group), however it assumed the World War II-era 398th Bombardment Group lineage and history.
During Operation Iraqi Freedom the title 398 AEG was`given to a collection of units and personnel operating from Souda Bay, Greece.
