The Carpenters' Gold: 35th Anniversary Edition CD was released in 2004. The 2-disc CD went through two designs. The first was a plain black CD with a gold Carpenters logo and "Gold" underneath. In fine print towards the bottom lies the words: "35th Anniversary Edition". Each CD has 20 songs on it, thus it has a total of 40 songs.
Most of the songs on here are remixes. In other words, the songs on here have more refined tracks, less noise in the background, and a lot of reverberation in the background.
