And where is the actual DTS soundtrack? Abdull 11:50, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- It's kept on a separate CD. --Abdull 12:19, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
This image is actually incorrect - the perforations are spaced three to a frame, and include frame line perforations. In reality, there are four perforations per frame, and they are spaced specifically so that they don't occur on a frame line.
Also, it would be nice to have some actual soundtrack data in there instead of a fake b/w graphic. Image:35mm_film_audio_macro.jpg is sufficiently large and could easily be wallpapered down the side to show what it really looks like. (The frame image could be higher resolution, too!) Anyway, those are my recommendations. Girolamo Savonarola 13:07, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'll see what I can come up with... Megapixie 13:35, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ugghh. It looks like this is going to be tricky. I think the dimensions outside the sprocket holes are incorrect on my diagrams (or that is some very wierd E-star indeed). I'll take a more detailed look tommorow. Megapixie 13:57, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

- I have put something very crude together at Image:35mm film-test.jpg I'm still having problems with the sprocket to edge distance on both sides. The film pictured appears to be slightly wider than the spec I have (1.8 mm approx on the left and 2.0 mm on the right) - is this usual with SDDS films ? Anyway - let me know what you think. The brightness variants in the soundtrack can be fixed. Megapixie 22:31, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

- Looks like a good step forward! The two sides should be identical in width; SDDS is designed to be completely compatible with existing standards, and shouldn't require any extra space on the physical dimensions of the film itself. The only other thing I'd ask is that you include pieces of the other frames on each side, as well as appropriately sized Academy ratio frame lines (as compared to the silent spec). If the numbers aren't clear enough, let me know what you need. Many many many thanks again, Megapixie, for your quick turnaround! Girolamo Savonarola 23:08, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

- Oops. Like a moron I didn't read this page. I uploaded a new image tonight that is a real scan with all parts included (minus DTS). I'm sorry Mega - didn't mean to step on any toes. LACameraman 06:36, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

- Actually, you might've just made his job easier. Now all he'd need to do is cut and paste a DTS track into your image. Girolamo Savonarola 07:55, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

- Ahhh I see - actually I can incorperate your image into mine fairly easily. BTW I updated my image Image:35mm film-test.jpg (because I didn't notice this). Is it okay if I slap the DTS, SDDS, Dolby Digital tracks onto your scan Image:Film-frames-nba.jpg ? Also do you have a higher resolution scan ? Let me know. Megapixie 12:56, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

- Mega - actually this: Image:Anamorphic-digital sound.jpg is the image we're talkinga about. It's just missing the DTS soundtrack information. As this isn't a pasted together track, but a scan of all real tracks and a real positive, I think it's a better solution. You're more than welcome to add the DTS tracks to this image if you'd like. I think I have a higher resolution version - let me check on that. This image: Image:Film-frames-nba.jpg - is used on a different page, in a different context and doesn't need digital soundtracks. - Sure, why not? It's all that it's missing. Haven't had the chance to get back to my main system and check for a higher res image yet. LACameraman 03:18, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
