300 North LaSalle will be a 60 story mixed use building located on the north bank of the Chicago River. The building will contain 1.3 million square feet (121,770 sqare meter) of space to include offices, retail shops, restaurant, and public spaces as well as three levels of sub grade parking. Due to its location on the north bank of the Chicago River, the building will feature a half acre sunlit waterfront public garden with direct access to the river's edge.

The building's developer Hines has obtained LEED Gold pre-certification, which establishes the building as a major sustainable design development. The plan is to achieve LEED Gold Certification by incorporating environmentally friendly and energy efficient materials and systems. The building is designed to maximize the use of daylight, while minimizing solar heat gain.

Kirkland & Ellis, a global law firm founded in Chicago, is the anchor tenant targeted to occupy 24 floors in the low-rise and mid-rise sections of the building [2]
