.post is Top-level domain submitted to ICANN for approval as a sponsored TLD. It would be restricted to the use of national and regional postal services, and private businesses that provide similar services. It is sponsored by the Universal Postal Union, an international organisation based in Bern, Switzerland. As of August 2006, approval and implementation has not yet happened, overshooting the deadline of 2005.
