See-Saw, the Japanese pop duo (formerly a trio) whose members consist of Chiaki Ishikawa (vocals) and Yuki Kajiura (music, lyrics and arrangement), performs both the intro theme "Obsession", and the end-credit theme "Yasashii Yoake".[1]

Yuki Kajiura penned these theme songs for the OVA .hack//Liminality but the song "Thousand Night One Night" was also played as insert song in episode 23 of .hack//Sign, The Eve. This single was released as second disc of the .hack//Liminality Original Soundtrack, which in North America was included in the third .hack//Sign Limited Edition DVD.[2] All themes are performed by See-Saw.[3]

Original Soundtrack album from .hack//Sign. Vocals by Emily Bindiger, music and arrangement (and lyrics in vocals themes) by Yuki Kajiura.[4] This album is a mix of vocal themes and BGM. Most of the vocal songs and a couple of BGM tracks have strong Celtic influence. The BGM is completed with tracks with noticeable console-RPG style.[5] In North America this soundtrack was included with the Limited Edition of the first .hack//Sign DVD.[6]

Second Original Soundtrack album from .hack//Sign. Vocals by Emily Bindiger and Yuriko Kaida, music and arrangement (and lyrics in vocals themes) by Yuki Kajiura.[7] All of the tracks are fairly slow, with catchy beats. The songs sung by Emily Bindiger are entirely in english and always fit the mood of the series.[8] In North America this soundtrack was included with the Limited Edition of the second .hack//Sign DVD.[9]

The .hack//Liminality Original Soundtrack was composed by Yuki Kajiura. Unlike the other soundtracks, it is a two disc set: the first one is the actual soundtrack while the second disc is the .hack//Liminality Bonus Single, which was performed by See-Saw.[3] Note that the third track, "Grandpa's Violin", is the violin piece that plays in the background when An Shouji and Mariko Misono meet for the first time at the end of episode 26 of .hack//Sign, Return. In North America it was released with the third .hack//Sign Limited Edition DVD.[2]
