.fo is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Faroe Islands. Any domain name should correspond to a trademark of the registrant (Type A application). It is however allowed to register a domain name without owning a matching trademark (Type B application) but any entity that owns such a trademark can fill an opposition within 20 days after the domain registration and get the concerned domain name for itself.
