[edit] .50 comparison to other cartridges

I looked back at previous revisions. Originally, was "not as powerful as the .500 S&W magnum" then someone edited to say "can be loaded to same power as the .500..." I guess both statements are true. Not as powerful in factory loadings due to those factory loads being made to fire from an AR. The cartridge itself can be loaded to the same power and possibly greater (if used in a non AR platform) than that of the .500 S&W due to larger case capacity. The link goes to an article that mentions loading the Beowulf for a revolver to the same power as the S&W. Reginhild 05:24, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

This isn't an honest Wiki article at all! It reads like company PR.

[edit] Photos Added

The page was a little dry without pictures! If you can take some better pictures at home, replace my mediocre photography. Reginhild 06:56, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Text edit

Noticed "deletion warning" due to advertisement like text: Worked on the text to make it suitable for Wikipedia and not worded like an ad. Reginhild 06:56, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 5.56 being "the" AR caliber

There was an edit here as has been seen previously changing 7.62 bolt to 5.56 bolt. The AR rifle now comes in many calibers with many different bolts. The .50 Beowulf uses the same style bolt as the 7.62x39 in an AR platform. Reginhild 04:32, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
