[edit] Lupin the 3rd Reference in Cowboy Bebop
I wonder why you delete the part that said there are Lupin the 3rd references in Cowboy Bebop. There is no person in the anime industry that would deny that Cowboy Bebop is influenced by Lupin the 3rd, including the director Shinichiro Watanabe. The character Wen in Episode 6, Sympathy for the Devil, for which you wrote that saying his outfit is an homage to Lupin's green jacket outfit is pure speculation, is indeed an homage to Lupin. I would like for you to tell me how is it anything but? The green blazer, black shirt, and yellow tie ARE trademark Lupin. Both wear the green blazer, black shirt, and a yellow tie. If the director did not want it to be seen as an homage, he would not have designed it that way. It is what it is, and it is not being speculative. It's being realistic and recognizing sincere references between two great anime series. There are many other references to Lupin in Cowboy Bebop, but out of all of them, the one above is the most easily verifiable.
[edit] Replaceable fair use
The Dodge Charger (LX) police car image that you removed the replaceable fair use tag from was not an appropriate action to take. Fair use is only applicable on Wikipedia if the image is not capable of being reproduced, i.e. historical events. Think of it as: "can a free alternative of this image be made?" If the answer is "yes", the image can't be used under fair use, even if a free alternative is not available at the moment. Thanks. --tomf688 (talk - email) 02:39, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Misplaced Message on my talk page
Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Samurai_champloo. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. 72.150.232.221 11:16, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
USER NOTE: this should not count towards any future vandal strikes due to the fact the user who tagged me with this has, of this writing, only two verified edits on Wikipedia: to my talk page here and removing my tags in the article Samurai Champloo, and had posted this via an anonymouse IP address. Thank You. --293.xx.xxx.xx 11:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Inappropriate username.
Your username is unacceptable for wikipedia per Wikipedia:Username#Inappropriate_usernames.
Names that resemble an IP address, including "invalid" IP addresses (like xxx.xxx.xxx.xx.xx or xxx.xxx.xxx.xx. or a number which goes over the range, such as 256.889.72.0).
You must submit a name change request to Wikipedia:Changing username immediately or you will be blocked indefinately. If you don't respond I will make sure you have a link to your RFC so you can have your say in it.
Good luck, frothT C 23:20, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you feel that way. Your RFC can be found here but I'm afraid it's a textbook case, although I may be wrong. A simple name change would solve this. --frothT C 09:05, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Top Gear
I've started trimming down this fancruft bloated mess. Wouldn't mind another pair of eyes to look over it. --Steve (Slf67) talk 09:24, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/delist/American Buffalo Gold Coin
Your right; I didn't read that section very closely and for some reason I assumed it had been resolved. I'll put it in the 'suspended nominations' section and post a note on the FPC talk page asking for input. Raven4x4x 12:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:TGCredits.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:TGCredits.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. feydey 16:22, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:TopGear-Test-Track.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:TopGear-Test-Track.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 48 hours after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ed g2s • talk 16:56, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I was aware you weren't the uploader of the current image, but thought you might be an interested party worth notifying, but if you don't care... - Thanks, ed g2s • talk 20:43, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Help Request
{helpme}
I think I might've done a little boo-boo concerning the previous message above. I clicked on the (rev) link assuming it'll send me to the previous saved page of my uploaded image, but instead I might've deleted the current image up for deletion. Can it be reverted back to the previous page that's up for deletion?--293.xx.xxx.xx 23:15, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, I reverted your edit as requested. However, it may be that neither version satisfies Wikipedia's fair use criteria as it seems that a free map of the track could reasonably be created. Cheers, --KFP (talk | contribs) 23:47, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- The previous versions are listed in the "File history" section of the image page. Clicking a date link will display the selected version and clicking (rev) will revert to that version. --KFP (talk | contribs) 01:26, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
