Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -- GraemeL (talk) 13:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please stay civil
Could I suggest that mundane editorial disagreements are most likely to resolve quickly and productively when editors observe the following:
- Remain polite per WP:Civility.
- Solicit feedback and ask questions.
- Keep the discussion focused. Concentrate on a small set of related matters and resolve them to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Focus on the subject rather than on the personalities of the editors.
Case in point:
- "Okay, you are an idiot. What you call spam doesn't meet any of the definitions set out in the guide. Don't worry about responding, as I wont be coming back to this site. I found the mechanicsofmoney.com website helpful (it was 100% free and it did not promote any product or service), but apparently you are too stupid to do your research before labeling something as spam. :|" [1]
Thanks,

- By the way, GraemeL was just doing what most other Wikipedia editors would do. He issued you the standard pre-worded warning about external links -- see Template:Spam. If you think this was inappropriately issued, feel free to leave a note at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spam requesting a second opinion about your links and edits. --A. B. [edit] ==Edits in conjunction with Irstaxattorney
Irstaxattorney (talk • contribs) adds similar links. Traceroute and whois indicate that IP address belongs to a Comcast subscriber in the Boulder, Colorado area. --A. B. (talk) 17:08, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
