While this site is a tor node, it is not an exit node, and as such, can't be used as an open proxy for editing Wikipedia. It should be unblocked.

It is listed on the current blacklist [1] and as an exit node at http://proxy.org/tor.shtml. However, this says its not an exit node.
Are you a registered user? My first choice would be to loosen the block to allow registered users to edit but not anonymouse users. (You don't have to say who you are, obviously). Thatcher131 21:11, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

It was an exit node for itself only; that is, it was configured to serve as an exit node only for traffic directed towards its own IP. Since this seems to be confusing to the open proxy lists (which see tor nodes as either exit nodes or not, with nothing in between), I've disabled exit routeing entirely.

I am not a registered user, and indeed, as far as I know, none of the users of this machine in fact edit Wikipedia, but we'd like to reserve the right to do so in the future. If you want to apply the loose block, that would be fine, I suppose.

OK, I'll do that for now. Thatcher131 16:09, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
