[edit] Red River High School

Thanks for contacting me about this article. You say my edits "include a lot of information that is irrelevant with the abstract at the beginning". Just so you know, quite a bit of this information was not added by me. Several other people have also worked on this article. The opening section of a Wikipedia article is meant to be a quick overview about the subject. It should only contain the most vital facts (in this case name, location, size, system, principal, nickname...that's about it). Following sections should expand on these and further topics related to the subject. You also say "This is a high school that focuses on academics." Did I say otherwise? I don't think so. Still, it is only reasonable that an article about a large high school would also contain sections about athletics and the art programs. Clearly, there is plenty of room for expansion within this article. I like to think that no Wikipedia article is a finished product. If you have further questions or comments, don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page. --MatthewUND(talk) 03:35, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, that was me, sorry, I was not logged in. What I am saying is that the article should not have the data listed in the info box within the introduction. That is data and not very useful to put into reading like that. Also, the format of encyclopedias should categorize by subject, not by each individual department such as "championships" and "arts". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.111.53.82 (talkcontribs).
