238th Street is a station on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 238th Street and Broadway in the Bronx, it is served by the 1 train at all times.
From the station, there is a view of the 240th Street Yard, which has a footbridge to the mainline. A whimsical touch is a covered entrance at the yard end in the form of the front end of a train, with entry from the front and not the side doors. The express track that passes through the station is currently unused in revenue service.
