237 is the name of song by Fear Before the March of Flames. The song was recorded for the Showtime series Masters of Horror, which are one hour horror shorts, all directed by different directors of the genre. 237 was featured in the 2005 episode directed by Tobe Hooper entitled Dance of the Dead. It is also featured on disc two of the first Masters Of Horror soundtrack.
Not known to many, the song actually refers to the horror movie, The Shining. The title is actually the room number in the movie where the little child passes by while riding his bike through the halls of the house where he and his family vacation, where he encounters the spirits of 2 dead girls who were murdered. Also, lines in the song such as "As it pours down the walls, now it comes through the halls", refer to the waves of blood that rush out of the elevator and through the corridors throughout the house, and "I must be losing my mind" refer to the father, played by Jack Nicholson going insane during their stay at the home and attempts to murder his family.
