[edit] Your edits to Hans Reiser
Hi there. What you've been doing to the Hans Reiser article is in violation of several Wikipedia policies. These include WP:OR (don't do original research or commentary), WP:V (use verifyable sources), WP:BLP (be particularly careful with any information on biographical articles of living persons).
A technical review or commentary on how good ReiserFS is as a filesystem is simply inappropriate for a biographical article on Hans. Additionally, the information you are putting in has no source information, and appears to be research you did yourself.
There is a difference between ReiserFS being a really good filesystem, and it being appropriate for you to put that particular material in his biography. Even if you can dig up external sources for every single bit of it, it's not appropriate or encyclopedic material. It's not that I think your analysis is wrong - it's just not appropriate at all for it to be in the article on Hans, and you have no reliable external sources for the claims. You can't do that with Wikipedia articles. Georgewilliamherbert 02:10, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hans Reiser. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Thank you. --Slowking Man 02:18, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Please see above policies and also WP:3RR - you are violating Wikipedia policies and if you continue to add that material are likely to get blocked for 24 hours to prevent further policy violations. If you have any questions please discuss it here or on the article talk page. Adding the material in again will not make it stay, it will just get you in trouble. Thank you. - You have now reverted this content in three times despite being told repeatedly that it's not appropriate and in violation of Wikipedia policy. Per WP:3RR, that is the maximum that you are allowed to do within a 24 hr period, and any further re-additions of this material will result in your account being blocked for edit warring.
- Please stop immediately. Georgewilliamherbert 02:24, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
