Attention:

This host, 218-186-9-5.cache.maxonline.com.sg, is registered to StarHub, Singapore, and may be shared by multiple users. In the case of organizations using proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.

Attention:

This IP address, 218.186.9.5, is registered to a proxy server, and is shared by multiple users. Comments left on this page may be received by other users of this IP address and appear to be irrelevant. Extreme caution should be used when blocking, banning, or reverting this IP's contributions. If you are an unregistered user operating from this address, note that this need not necessarily be the IP Address of your machine.

218.186.9.5 is the IP address that communicates between your browser and the Wikimedia servers, which is, in other words, a proxy. Such Proxies are shared among an infinite number of users compared to the number of persons using your particular machine, so refrain from blaming any new messages on them. If you are frustrated by irrelevant comments being sent to you, then please end it by creating an account for yourself.

Please Note: Proxy users often change IP addresses with each page they load.
Warnings or Messages left on this page will not likely be received by the intended user.

[edit] Multiple Users Problem

I'm frequently getting blocked by administrators due to multiple users vandalising pages under my IP address. [edit] April 2007

Please stop. If you continue to blank out (or delete portions of) page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Gallery of flags by design, you will be blocked from editing. - Denny 13:29, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia.
