Thanks for your concern over the Purple heart article. Please be aware that the denial examples liste din the article are straight from the instruction regarding issuance of the Purple Heart on file at the Military Personnel Records Center. That instruction is in turn based on agreements with the service departments regarding the issuance of the Purple Heart.
