Decline reason: "#This is an open proxy. These blocks are non-negotiable.

Request reason: "I am not going to be silent about the "uncivility" involved in denying people access to this supposedly "publicly editable" resource because you disagree with my choice to run Tor, to make my system available for others use to avoid censorship or egregious violation of privacy. I use Tor myself and find virtually no web sites blocked from access via Tor -- except Wikipedia. YOU are in the forefront of Internet censorship. Your vaunted social process has produced shunning, ostracism and "disappearance" of those who disagree with you on the value of anonymity. You seem capable of no better response. Is infibulation next? Hanging? Indefinite imprisonment without trial or appeal?"
Decline reason: "You're not the one who has to fight persistent vandalism on a day by day basis. Anyway, my hands are tied by official policy: Wikipedia:No open proxies -- Netsnipe ► 08:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)"

Request reason: "We all fight persistent vandalism on a day to day basis. Not just spam, either -- the vandals who run the United States are busy trashing its fundamental principles (such as rule of law, due process, freedom of speech, and freedom from warrantless search), and I am fighting them day to day. And you do not "have to" fight vandalism at Wikipedia; you are a volunteer, as I understand it. If Wikipedia's policies become too egregious for you, you're free to stop volunteering. That choice has been removed from me -- I have no choice to volunteer or not; your choice (which you claim is by some anonymous policy that you have no influence over, rather than by your own free will) has been to censor me. (When Nixon tried to fire Archibald_Cox, the special prosecutor who was investigating him, two senior officials who reported to Nixon and were ordered to fire Cox resigned rather than execute the order. When NSA misled the secret wiretap court, James_Robertson_%28judge%29 resigned from it in protest. They had integrity -- do you?"
Decline reason: "You have no right to edit Wikipedia - you are given this ability at the Wikimedia's discretion, and they reserve the right to remove it, whether this be at the ruling of Jimmy Wales, the Arbitration Committee, or Administrators. Also, this is an open proxy, and the fact that it is indef blocked is non-negotiable. Please read Wikipedia:Open proxy for more information. Daniel.Bryant 02:07, 30 September 2006 (UTC)"

Request reason: "You guys really don't get it. You keep saying that the policy is non-negotiable. You might as well remove the {{unblock}} token stuff from your Wiki then; what's the point of having a discussion if one side (the all powerful anti-spam janitors) enter into it with a firm intent to never change their minds? You make me laugh with your talk about rights -- you people who run Wikipedia publicly claim it's an open and inclusive collaborative work, then turn around and say in private that it's all at Wikimedia's discretion, and that you faceless bureaucrats have decided that I'm persona non grata, without ever meeting me. Is it the color of my skin? Or just the color of my IP address? Why not face the facts that you haven't found a way to run an "open and collaborative worldwide project" without exercising the power to censor any damn person you choose, for arbitrary reasons, answerable only to yourselves? I know, it would be like Bush admitting that he can't figure out how to run a country without torture, indefinite imprisonment, and Stasi-like wiretapping. But I'll give you a chance to show you are more honest than Bush."
Decline reason: "Even you know that you're clutching at straws now. We have given you the reason why you are blocked: WP:OP. Daniel.Bryant 11:26, 1 October 2006 (UTC)"
