From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This IP has been repeatedly blocked from editing Wikipedia in response to vandalism. Further acts of vandalism from this IP may result in another immediate block without warning. |
This IP address is common to all machines from the Lawrence High School in New Jersey. It appears one of the students has introduced the wikipedia to his/her friends, who are now using it for various sophmoric insults and such in the school's page.
Sadly, locking down this IP means that everyone at the school is locked out, including teachers. However this may be a more minor problem than bearing with the continual barrage of vandalism. There is no point placing a message in this page, it's almost certainly a different person causing the damage each time. Several have apparently placed their name in the vandalism, which seems to prove this point.
Sorry to put this at the top, but it seems to be the best place.

I've just chased and reverted three seperate bits of vandalism from this IP, to El Lissitzky, musical instrument, and today's featured article, timpani. Hig Hertenfleurst 13:17, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. - TexasAndroid 16:01, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary and your personal analysis of an article into Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's NPOV rules and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. colour probe ·Talk·Contribs·@ 13:46, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Stop adding commentary and your personal analysis of an article into Wikipedia articles. Doing so breaches Wikipedia's NPOV rules. Furthermore, reinserting the same commentary multiple times may cause you to violate the three-revert rule, which can lead to a block. colour probe ·Talk·Contribs·@ RCP 19:00, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content (as you did on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess). Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! --TheKoG (talk|contribs) 18:57, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

- Hell, if there's really this much vandalism coming from the school, just block it permanently. I actually go to the school that has this IP address, but most students just use Wikipedia for research, and don't really need to edit the site to do so. Even with editing disabled, students can still view the site, so there's really no reason to allow this IP to edit. --Wikivader 19:38, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
