Killorglin is a pretty town on the Laune, a tidal river which boasts a rowing club and a new boathouse

On the 10,11 and 12 of August this place holds one of the oldest fairs in Europe, called Puck Fair.

Killorglin is a good place to stay if you are a tourist beacuse it is in shooting distance of a lot of places for example Tralee and Dingle while you can get better rates then if you tried to get a room in the town.

Puck Fair is one of the oldest fairs in Europe. Every year on the 10 of August some people from Killorglin go up into the hills and hunt down a wild goat. After being crowned by a young person the goat is then put up into a confided cage on top of a stand so it can overlook the town. Recently the town erected a satue of a goat.

During this fair a lot happens cattle and sheep are brought in for a market, there is funfairs rides and fireworks a lot happends over these three days and is worth seeing.
