Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 208.59.160.187). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. Kukini 03:54, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Editing Concerns

  1. Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Kukini 03:46, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
  2. Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Kukini 03:54, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
  3. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Kukini 03:54, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi -- I see you have some problems with the McCarthyism article, which is fine. However, please voice these concerns on the talk page, and edit the article into shape if you can. We can't have personal commentary or public objections in the actual text of the article. I've reverted your comments something like four times; I don't think you're trying to vandalize, but that is the end effect. Please keep it on the talk page and everyone will be happy. Thanks -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 03:55, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

I concur with the above. You may have some valid points, but they are to be discussed onthe talk page and not the actual article. Kukini 03:56, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
