[edit] Vandalism and Blasphemy
===>Could you please stop both? Thanks. Justin (koavf) 14:02, Apr 21, 2005 (UTC)
Once upon a time in a land far far away there was an IP. Now, this was a bad land where they teach IPs to be sub-human. So, one day the IP came to the real world and no one liked him. It was kind of sad :(. Why you might ask? Why? because it was sub-human. The End. gren 14:32, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] You wrote on my Talk page
===>Several issues: Let me quote you, and then respond.
- Excuse me, but you can not accuse someone of blasphemy. Wikipedia is an equal oppurtunity source of information, with no religious bias' [sic].
I certainly can accuse someone of blasphemy. In fact, I did. The idea that you, a person writing from an anonymous IP who has apparently been blocked several times, are telling me what Wikipedia policy is is ridiculous. I've made my personal identity and contact information public knowledge and made a screen name to hold myself accountable for the information that I put on the Internet. Since Wikipedia is "an equal opportunity source of information, with no religious bias," by your own reasoning, blasphemy would not be permitted, as it is inherently a religious bias.
- Thusly, you can not say that I am blaspheming against Christianity, since I do not believe in any aspects of the Bible.
From the article on blasphemy: "blasphemy is the defamation of the name of God or the gods, and by extension any display of gross irreverence towards any person or thing deemed worthy of exalted esteem." That definition has nothing to do with one's personal beliefs and convictions. Regardless of whether or not you are a Christian, you still wrote blasphemous statements.
- Blasphemy can only be accused if the case has to do with the Christian religion. Since Wikipedia deals with all religions from a factual and un-biased view, you can not use the idea of blasphemy. I am not denying the vandalism, due in fact that this is a shared IP and that many people use it. I am merely stating that you can not accuse any user of blasphemy since it is a religious accusation.
What are you talking about? How can blasphemy only be accused if it has to do with Christianity? What does "you can not use the idea of blasphemy" even mean? This is unintelligible. Moreover, if you don't want to be held accountable for others' vandalism, I suggest you make a free screen name - it takes about 30 seconds.
- That would be like you editing pages on Islam or Hinduism stating that they believe in false prophets.
This directly contradicts what you just said. ("Blasphemy can only be accused if the case has to do with the Christian religion.") I also do not write things like that in articles precisely because they are blasphemous. Your analogy is irrelevant anyway, since I put the comment about blasphemy on your Talk page, rather than an article - it was a message directed to you, instead of what is intended to be public knowledge.
As you can see, your accusations against me are baseless and unwarranted. Furhtermore, the insertion of your critique inside another user's comments isn't helpful - if you feel the need to write on my Talk page, please create a new comment. Justin (koavf) 14:46, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] My Talk page, again
===>What?
- I have no clue what you're talking about.
How so? I defended myself. At this point, you're just being inflammatory. And since I've posted on your Talk page, you've vandalized two articles again.
- Anyway, all factual information points to the idea that God is, well, non-existant. Thus, blasphemy is an intangible argument.
This is also asinine. You can tell the "factual information" to all of the people far more intelligent than you who are theists. Such as Einstein, Kant, Socrates, and thousands of other brilliant people throughout human history. Since there is disagreement on the matter, I don't see how you can possibly claim, with any degree of intellectually honest that, well, God must be non-existant. Why? Becuase you say so, and you're right. Plus, you also claimed that I could be blasphemous ("...editing pages on Islam or Hinduism stating that they believe in false prophets..."), but now you're saying it's not possible. Your argument is self-contradictory and pointless.
- My personal beliefs, as right as they are, are, well, right. Blasphemy, as you said, is 'defamation of the name of God or the gods.' You can't defame that which does not exist. Well, you can, which I guess is what you think I did, but I merely shed light on the subject.
One more time, you've directly contradicted yourself in the span of a few sentences, and proven that you have nothing meaningful or intelligible to say. Now that you've displayed your own atheism, it makes it clear that your edits on pages relating to God and Christ are obviously biased, POV, and in direction contravention to both Wikipedia policy, and the rules by which you accuse me ("Wikipedia is an equal oppurtunity source of information, with no religious bias' [sic]"). Why would you do juvenile things like this? It's not at all helpful to anyone. The more outrageous claim is that you're "shed[ding] light on the subject." How? By inserting anti-Christian propaganda in the article about Jesus' names and titles? If you want to be a jackass, feel free to do it on a message board. Wikipedia is for learning and fact.
