- Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with the Hemoglobin page on Wikipedia! Your test worked, and thank you for reverting or removing it yourself. The best way to do tests in the future would be to use the sandbox. You can look at these pages as well: how to edit a page, the tutorial, and how to write a great article. All of these pages are good places to start. Again, thanks, and we hope that you will like Wikipedia. --Kbh3rdtalk 21:34, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

- Your recent edit of some article was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If you were experimenting, know that everyone really is welcome to contribute, but tests should be done in the sandbox. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept our apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. // Tawkerbot2 12:58, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Due to the fact that this IP address is shared by as many users as it is, and is accessable by many stupid highschool kids who think they're funny, a permanent ban might be a reasonable solution if this continues to be a problem, being as 24 hour bans are unlikely to affect much due to the nature of school schedules. 208.31.155.254 13:02, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Did anyone take note of the above suggestion on April 3 at 13:02? 208.31.155.254 13:49, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- As far as I'm aware, it isn't standard policy to permanently block an IP when it may hit legitimate users. There are many, many other examples of shared IPs which are the source of multiple vandalisms, but which can't/won't be blocked permanently because there may be other, more sensible users coming from the same IP. Taking Advice
Jammy:
(Sorry for the wrong name before!) I've had a discussion with one of the county DIT people about trying to prevent vandalizing edits from within the school system. We'll at least get the ball rolling. As it's not my area of expertise, I can't speak about policy or procedure in this area, but I can at least pass it up the food chain!
