If you are an unregistered user operating from this address, note that this need not necessarily be the IP address of your machine. In many cases, it turns out to be the IP address of a proxy server that communicates between your browser and the Wikimedia servers. Such proxies are shared among a huge number of users compared to the number of persons using your particular machine. If you are frustrated by irrelevant comments appearing here, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. However, you will still be unable to edit Wikipedia while the IP you are using is blocked.

Michael Jackson
Please do not vandalize articles. I am glad to see that you reversed your vandalism to Michael Jackson but I had to revert your changes anyway due to your deletion of some punctuation. Enjoy your time with Wikipedia but please respect others contributions. - Tεxτurε 17:31, 4 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Respect his Privacy
I am not the type to make executive decisions here without throwing my idea around to see how it's received, but it is inappropriate to put the location of this vandal's IP on his page. Just because he has disrespected Wikipedia pages does not give us the right to invade his privacy like that. The location will still be available in the page's history, if the appropriate authorities need to view it, but there is no reason to hang it out like an inscription above his stocks. Let no one say that Wikipedians are rude or disrespectful. --BDD 15:50, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Hi BDD. I put this information on the user page to identify this account as a school with shared access, not to be rude. Since it's a shared account we should try to avoid long term bans if possible. In this case, however, the edits have been mostly vandalism. Duk 16:20, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism
Changes of the kind that you are making to Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School, Jesus, Binary numeral system, Shark and Moon are considered to be vandalism and are likely to cause us to prevent you from changing articles. All these changes have been reversed. Please stop doing this. --Theo (Talk) 20:23, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Confederate States of America, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. - CobaltBlueTony 14:19, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
